Description

Sip summer bliss! This Iced Guava White Tea Lemonade effortlessly blends delicate white tea, lush guava, and zesty lemon for ultimate refreshment.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 white tea bags (or 1.5 teaspoons loose leaf white tea)
  • 1 cup hot water (for brewing tea)
  • 1/2 cup guava nectar or puree
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons simple syrup (or to taste)
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • Ice cubes (for serving)
  • Lemon slices and fresh mint sprigs (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Brew the white tea. Place the white tea bags (or loose leaf tea in an infuser) in a heatproof cup and pour 1 cup of hot water over them. Steep for 3-5 minutes, then remove the tea bags or strain the loose leaf tea. Let the brewed tea cool completely.
  2. Step 2: In a pitcher or large mixing glass, combine the cooled white tea, guava nectar, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup. Stir well to ensure all ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
  3. Step 3: Add 1/2 cup of cold water to the mixture. Taste the lemonade and adjust the sweetness or tartness if needed. You can add more simple syrup for sweetness or a splash more lemon juice for tartness.
  4. Step 4: Fill serving glasses generously with ice cubes.
  5. Step 5: Pour the Iced Guava White Tea Lemonade over the ice in each glass.
  6. Step 6: Garnish with fresh lemon slices and a sprig of mint, if desired, before serving immediately.

Notes

  • Keep any leftover lemonade in a sealed pitcher in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, giving it a good stir before serving to re-blend the delicious flavors.
  • Since this is an iced delight, always add fresh ice to your individual serving glass right before pouring to prevent the drink from becoming watered down.
  • For an extra delightful touch, garnish your glass with a few frozen raspberries or a thin slice of star fruit to keep it extra cool and add a pop of color.
  • To ensure your white tea remains light and floral, be mindful not to over-steep it; aiming for 3-4 minutes is perfect to avoid any bitterness and let the guava truly shine.
