- 2 cups frozen strawberries
- 1 cup pineapple juice, divided
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice, divided
- 3–4 tablespoons granulated sugar or honey, divided (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 cup cold water (optional, for thinning if needed)
- Fresh mint leaves or fruit slices for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Step 1: Prepare the Pineapple Slushie. In a high-speed blender, combine the frozen pineapple chunks, 1/2 cup of pineapple juice, 1 tablespoon of fresh lime juice, and 1-2 tablespoons of granulated sugar (or honey). Blend until completely smooth and slushie-like. If the mixture is too thick, add a small splash of cold water or more pineapple juice. Pour the pineapple slushie into a separate container and set aside.
- Step 2: Prepare the Strawberry Slushie. Rinse the blender well. Add the frozen strawberries, the remaining 1/2 cup of pineapple juice (or cold water), 1 tablespoon of fresh lime juice, and 1-2 tablespoons of granulated sugar (or honey) to the blender. Blend until smooth and slushie-like, adding a tiny bit more liquid if necessary to reach the desired consistency.
- Step 3: Swirl the Slushies. Take your serving glasses. Carefully alternate spoonfuls of the pineapple slushie and strawberry slushie, layering and swirling them gently to create a beautiful marbled effect in each glass.
- Step 4: Serve Immediately. Garnish with a fresh mint sprig or a slice of pineapple or strawberry on the rim of the glass, if desired. Serve with a spoon or wide straw and enjoy your refreshing tropical swirled slushie.
